Body art is more than just adornment on skin - it’s a deeply personal way to tell stories, celebrate individuality, growth, and the human experience. Empathy for people’s individual situation and patience for clients lack of knowledge or pain tolerance is vital. We hold a commitment to providing a clean and calming environment for our clients and professionals to create in, and to only hiring someone who shares these values.

Some disposables and furniture provided, come and go as you please. Our studio has an open floor plan, and is divided by privacy screens at each station.

Annual bonuses for resident artists and apprentices are based on 5% of amount paid to the studio.

Choose your own hours, off days, and decide on your own if you want to work at multiple shops, work conventions and shows, run specials, or sell your own merchandise (and keep 100% profits).

Clients book directly through you and abide by your booking policies. You handle your own deposits, calendar, and client correspondence. No shop phone means no distractions mid tattoo, and no duties beyond personal cleaning and bookkeeping. You will process your client’s payments, and pay the shop in cash at the end of each work day.

Our shop generally books by appointment, though we have a storefront location and get walk-in requests.

We can happily advertise for you, and refer clients.

Artists must have a minimum of three years professional experience.

Apprenticeship

I am NOT currently seeking an apprentice, but I will in a few years. A minimum of 10 finished artworks is necessary to apply.

No non-compete clause affords you business and freedom. It’s my goal to not only teach the basics of the medium, but help establish clientele and business practices that will aid throughout the entirety of a career.

My apprenticeship is free, paid for by helping out around the shop. The position starts part time, as you won’t make money for about the first 6 months of learning and practice before tattooing on real skin.

Apprentices are expected to buy their own machines, ink, and needles once they transition into tattooing real skin, and are supplied everything else.

Apprentices start out making 50% commission with steady raises and bonuses as they progress. An apprenticeship typically last 2 years.
